“MAGICAL CREATURES”

Typologies of dragons, phoenixes, griffins, salamanders, basilisks, manticoras, unicorns, amphisbaenas, centaurs, sphinxes. Anthropomorphic creatures (cyclops, elves, werewolves, leprechauns, goblins, and others). Historic retrospective in myths and fairy tales; describing a creature’s physical appearance, habitat and behavior; their magical essence, symbolic meaning in alchemy, esoteric and other traditions. The role of magical creatures in different cultures. Personal encounters and safety rules. Available visuals. Creating detailed drawings of magical creatures with markup of main body parts. Visualization, origami (figures from folded paper) – which also stimulate fine motoric skills and spatial imagination.
